Due to a problem in downloading entries from the website, causing delays and basket allocation problems, having to change trailers etc., we spent the night at Cosham, fifteen minutes from Portsmouth. All birds were watered and we got the first ferry out this morning. We arrived at Oustreham at 2pm and after topping up waters on the docks, we made our way to Coutances, some two hours away. On arrival, the birds were immediately fed then later watered. Coutances is an old dis-used railway siding, very level and open aspect, along side a lightly used railway. We anticipate to get the birds away around 7a.m. uk time, weather permitting and all necessary checks are good. The wind at present is Westerly. Tomorrow is forecast sunny all morning, that’s the local weather here and winds are showing West early morning, North West on route with a few scattered light showers possibly touch more west in the UK. I will update early tomorrow morning. Dom McCoy, Chief Convoyer.
