Unfortunately, we announce Sid and Karen Barkel have today, the 13th of October, been made redundant with immediate effect
The reasons the committee have decided on this course of action is faced with the increases in the cost of transport, compliance with DEFRA and the decline of membership in both the NFC and the sport in general which is inextricably linked to the demographics of our membership and the general economic outlook. it is essential we reduce our cost base. The position of a full-time secretary is no longer affordable if we are to continue to provide channel racing without the costs becoming prohibitive for many fanciers.
The revised administrative structure will be communicated to the members in the next few weeks in the interim
