Transportation offer available for Section N members’ entries, to Sheffield Marking Station.

Ian Stafford, from Durham (Section N) has become a member of The National Flying Club this past week and during a discussion with Paul Naum, has offered his help with the transport of members' birds to the Marking Station at Sheffield, in his Geraldy transporter. As The Sportsman Club is on hold for this year, this is very welcome news for our Section N members, who previously sent via The Sportsman Club. Many thanks Ian!

Please contact Ian for further information on: 07786 938 300

Please note that the online opening date for Carentan OB has been changed to Saturday 4th May to allow the changeover to the new website to take place before online entries are accepted. Postal entries are unaffected by this.

We are now very close to "going live" with our new website.

Currently, it's seated on a temporary URL

https://nationalflyingclub.co.uk.banana.temporarywebsiteaddress.com

...but we encourage all members to visit the new site, activate your Member Account, and also have a good look around.

To help you activate your account do this we have created a "How to" document, please click the following link

Logging_in_to_new_Website.pdf

We ask that you activate your NFC account as soon as possible, so that you're ready in good time to make your race entry for the 1st Old Bird Race of the season, from Carentan.

On the new website, in the RACE SWITCHBOARD you may notice that we are running a TEST race this week, to test the Race management functionality as best we can. Your committee will enter this race and also Verify their 1st Arrival, a Provisional Result will be displayed, plus a Final Result.

We understand that some/all GMAIL email accounts are blocking the "Forgot Password" email when attempting to activate your account. We understand this is because GMAIL recognises that it's a Website on a temporary URL that is sending a mail to it, and it blocks it. So, for GMAIL accounts, we'd suggest just waiting a few more days, when we Go-Live, unless of course you're a 'whizz' who knows how to alter your gmail settings for incoming mail.
